Our client spotlight this week is Amber. We asked Amber a few questions about her time at Flex Appeal. Here are her responses.
What advice would you give someone who finds it hard to schedule fitness into their busy work/family life?
Start small. Get your family involved. Plan ahead. I like to get my menu, grocery shopping, and prepping done on the weekends. This makes it easier for me to find time to go to the gym twice a week for an hour. What works for others may not work for you due to certain circumstances, and that’s okay! Don’t give up. Try a different schedule or plan!
What do you do on days when you don’t “feel” like going to the gym? What keeps you motivated?
Honestly- my classmates! If I can get dressed and make it there, just being around them gets me going. That and knowing that even if I can’t give it 100%, that’s okay. I will still be glad I did it.
What were your initial goals when you first joined? How have they changed since starting?
My initial goal was to work out and get my body moving. I have been a member of Flex Appeal off and on for several years, and I knew that it would get me back into a good routine. Now, I feel like I’m not only working out but taking care of myself. Knowing that whatever is going on in my life contributes to my health- not just the physical aspect. It’s nice to have the extra push to go to the gym and make sure you are taking care of your overall well-being.
