Our Flex Appeal client spotlight this week is Alyssa! We asked Alyssa a couple of questions and these were her answers.
- What was the reason you decided to start a strength training program at Flex Appeal?
“I started training at Flex appeal because I was tired of the inconsistency I had in going to the gym on my own. I was tired of having to come up with my own programs or workouts, and not really knowing if I was combining proper workouts or knowing if I was doing them correctly. I was also tired of walking into the gym planning on doing leg day, finding someone hogging the machines I wanted to use, and having to completely change what I wanted to do.”
2. How does where you were then in your health and fitness compare to where you are now?
“I started my training in March of 2021. I had been struggling with the beginnings of an autoimmune disorder and struggled with health a lot over the year prior. Since then I have really focused on working out 2-3 times per week, stress management, proper sleep, and good nutrition. The combination of all those things has greatly impacted my life and the status of my AI disorder. I am also stronger than I’ve ever been!”
3. What has made the biggest impact on your health and fitness journey?
“The things that have made the biggest impact on my health were fueled by my AI disorder. I had to make a lot of changes for the better. The support I get from the ladies in the gym motivates me to continue to be consistent in the gym. Not just the trainers, but my workout partners as well. They are always the bright spot in my day! I would undoubtedly not be where I am without them day in and out. I’m so grateful for the support system Flex appeal offers me.”
